CLR Set to Welcome Back Super Late Models In 2012

County Line Raceway is pleased to announce the addition of the Ultimate Super Late Model Series to the schedule in 2012. Located in Eastern North Carolina, County Line Raceway has a rich history in racing with the backbone of the program being it’s Limited Late Model Division. Track Promoters James Upchurch and Brenda Holcombe feel that the Ultimate Super Late Model Series will be a perfect fit for County Line Raceway. James Upchurch stated, “I feel the rules package offered by the Ultimate Series will allow our Steel Block Late Model teams to compete with the Super Late Models”. It has been nearly 8 years since we hosted a Super Late Model event and our first choice is the Ultimate Series. Co-Promoter Brenda Upchurch states, “I am very excited but more so for the fans of County Line Raceway. Their support and dedication through the years has been enormous. They wanted a Super Late Model event at County Line Raceway; it feels good to once again have them on the schedule.
Public Relations Director Steve Summerlin spoke with Stan Lester Monday morning to confirm the date which is Friday night, May 18th.Summerlin states; “The Ultimate Super Late Model Series has been on my radar for a while. Their rules allow our Late Model drivers to compete so it is a perfect fit. We look forward to the event and our fans are very excited! Stan Lester also has great things to say about the Ultimate Super Late Model Series coming to County Line Raceway. Lester states, “We are very excited about our new partnership with County Line Raceway. A 3/8’s mile track is always great to have on the schedule. Our drivers will offer up some great racing for the fans.We hope to continue scheduling events In the future.” This date is a perfect fit as we race at County Line on Friday night and Virginia Motor Speedway on Saturday night. We hope the fans at both tracks support these events.” The Ultimate Series is honored that County Line Raceway reached out to us to bring the Super Late Models back!”

This event will pay $4,000 to the winner as they compete for40 laps. Rounding out the program on May 18th will be the Pure stock4 Cylinders, Super Stock 4 Cylinders and the Thunder & Lightning Division.For more information on County Line Raceway, visit our website at www.countylineracewaync.com/.
