2015 Season Kicks Off This Weekend (March 21)

Racefans have waited nearly four months for the return of racing to the 3/8ths mile clay oval known by race fans as County Line Raceway.  This weekend marks the start of the 27th consecutive season at the Elm City oval located on Stagecoach Road.  Wednesday & Friday Nights we will host an Open Practice for all five weekly divisions, plus any super late models or modifieds.  This will be the first opportunity for any driver to try to tame the newly reshaped race track.  During the off season, track crews did extensive work on the track making the racing surface wider and working on the banking in the turns.  “We want to provide the best racing product possible for our fans, and give the drivers a competitive, multi-groove track that they will want to race on every Saturday night.  We are continually looking at ways to create more excitement for both the fans and drivers and we feel like reshaping the race track will do just that,” stated track co-promoter Brenda Holcombe.

Saturday night is what everyone has waited all winter for…the start of the 2015 racing season at County Line Raceway.  The track welcomes back the Ultimate Super Late Model Series with the winner looking for a $4,000 pay day.  This will be the first of two scheduled visits in 2015 for the USLM Series.  Also on the card to crank up the 2015 season are the Open Wheel Modified teams who will compete for their chance at a $1,000 to win.  All five weekly divisions will also be allowed another Open Practice session in preparation for the opening of their regular season, scheduled for Saturday, April 4th.

Wednesday and Friday, pit gates open at 6:00 for Open Practice.  Practice will run from 7:30 until 10:00.  Pit admission is $10.  Saturday, pit gates open at 4:00, grandstands at 5:00 and cars are scheduled to hit the track at 7:00.  Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors ages 65 and up, $10 for kids ages 11-15, and Free for children ages 10 and under.  Pit admission is $30 per person.
