County Line Raceway set to Host the Open Wheel World Championship

Elm City, N.C.—With the Memorial Day Weekend now in the rear view mirror, the mud-slinging Modifieds of the Renegades of Dirt South powered by Arizona Sport Shirts look toward a whirlwind weekend June 12th and 13th at County Line Raceway as the “Little Track Making Big Noise” hosts the inaugural Open Wheel World Championships. The final trip in 2015 for the Renegades to the 3/8ths mile bullring will showcase drivers from the Carolina’s, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York!

The East Coasts elite modified driver’s kick start the weekend double header on Friday night June 12th with a 25 lap teaser paying $2,500 to the winner. Fans will be treated to a full format of racing that includes group qualifying, heat races and consi’s. In addition to the Renegades of Dirt Modifieds, fans will be treated to 2 of the tracks weekly divisions, a pair of 15 lap features for the Pure Stock 4 and Pure Stock V8. The pits will open at 4 p.m. with spectator gates swinging open one hour later. On track action will start at 7:00pm.

The blockbuster weekend concludes on Saturday night June 13th with a $5,000 payday awaiting the winner of the 40 lap A-Main for the Renegades of Dirt Modified Series. Once again drivers will have to fight their way through qualifying, heat races and a last chance race to make it into the 20 car field. A $500 to win, $100 to start Non-Qualifier event will also be run to award weekend points and ensure that a possible forty cars participate in a feature on Saturday night.

The weekends highest overall point’s earner will be crowned as the “Open Wheel World Champion” and receive an additional $1000 dollars for their efforts. In addition, if any driver can win back to back nights they will get an extra $500 dollars and if they have 100% attendance with the Renegade of Dirt South up to June 13 they will receive a $1000 dollar bonus. In all it’s possible that one winner could walk away from the Inaugural “Open Wheel World Championship” $10,000 dollars richer.

Saturday night will also feature a pair of 20 lap features for the Super Stock 4 and Limited Sportsman divisions. Pit gates will open at 4pm, spectator gate at 5pm with on track action at 7pm. For more information in this exciting event visit www.countylineracewaync.com or www.renegadesofdirt.com
