About the Event

County Line Raceway created its marquee event in 2009. Track owners Edward & Carolyn Upchurch were seeking a charity to support. It was a group effort of everyone associated with County Line to decide to start an event to benefit Victory Junction in Randalman, NC.

In 2009, the event started as a one night show featuring the track’s Late Model division. In 2010, the track’s staff decided to add a new class to the card and brought in the Modified division for the first time in over ten years. As the success of the Modified division showed off, the track has stuck with it, now making it a regular on the yearly schedule. In 2011, the race became a three day event featuring a practice night on Thursday, dash events for the Modifieds on Friday, and a full show on Saturday. From 2012-2016, the Late Model portion of the event was sanctioned by the Ultimate Super Late Model Series.  In 2017 and again, for 2018, the FUEL Racing Series will sanction the Late Model portion of the marquee event and the modified portion will remain unsanctioned, but follows UMP rules for the Dirt Cup Challenge UMP Modified season finale.

Fundraising efforts over the past nine years have enabled CLR to contribute over $52,000 to Victory Junction.  These donations are made possible from the track’s portion of the 50/50 raffle during the racing season, the 50/50 raffle at this event, and a portion of ticket sales from the “Race For The Kids” event.  With your continued support, we can all make a difference in a child’s life and help this wonderful cause!

The 2018 edition will mark the events 10th consecutive year.
