A Champion Will Be Crowned Saturday Night

After a scheduled week off, County Line Raceway in Elm City is set to roar back to life this Saturday night with its weekly racing series presented by Lee Motor Group – Doing Business the Right Way Since 1953. This week the Late Models will take center stage as the I-95 Late Model Challenge pulls into town for the final time in 2014. The points chase ends at County Line Saturday night and it’s anyone’s title. ARCO Restoration Thunder & Lightning, Super Stock Four Cylinder, PL Woodard Pure Stock V-8, and Pure Stock Four Cylinder divisions will also battle it out for that elusive checkerd flag.

Making its third and final stop of the season to the 3/8ths mile clay oval in Elm City, the I-95 Late Model Challenge will conclude its season and crown a points champion Saturday night. 71 total drivers have participated in the nine race challenge situated between three tracks (Fayetteville, Clary’s and County Line). Only 6 points separate the top 3 positions. Russell Erwin, the winner of the last I-95 Challenge event at County Line will enter Saturday night the leader, a mere 2 points over Damon Kotke. Scott Adams, who picked up his first career victory at Clary’s Speedway in Brinkleyville in round 7 sits third.

In honor of Patriot’s Day, County Line will recognize all of our first responders for their hard work and dedication to their community. All first responders will be admitted to the grandstands FREE (proof of service and id required). Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $5 for children 11-15, and Free for kids 10 & under. If you want to get closer to the action, pit passes are available for $30. Pit gates open at 4:00, grandstands at 5:00 and cars hit the track at 7:00. For more information on County Line Raceway, visit the website at www.countylineracewaync.com or call the track phone at 252-985-1949.
