End of Season Showdown Details Announced

After a rainout two weeks ago, County Line Raceway management was forced to postpone the V-8 specials that were originally scheduled for October 3. This event has been rescheduled to be part of the Four Cylinder Nationals weekend in an event now dubbed the “End of Season Showdown�. The “Showdown� will be a two day event and feature racing in six divisions plus two Powder Puff events for the ladies.

The weekend kicks off on Friday night, October 23 when the Open Wheel Modifieds headline the show with a 30 lap feature with $1,500 going to the winner. The Limited Sportsman, Super Stock Four Cylinder, Pure Stock V-8, and Pure Stock Four Cylinder divisions will all have one round of practice, group qualifying and heat races to set the starting order for Saturday night’s feature events. Pit gates open at 5:00, grandstands at 6:00 and cars hit the track at 7:00. Friday night grandstand admission is only $10 for adults, $5 for kids 11-15 and free for children 10 & under. Pit passes are available for $25 or a two day pass for $40.

Saturday night the fans will witness the “Showdown� as we all wait to see who will take the final checkered flag of the season in each of the track’s regular divisions, plus a special event for the UCAR division paying $500 to the winner of their 20 lap feature. Pure Stock V-8 and Pure Stock Four Cylinder divisions will be vying for a $500 first place prize with Limited Sportsman and Super Stock Four Cylinders battling it out for the $1,500 winner’s purse. If that isn’t enough, the always entertaining Powder Puff races will be held to close out the weekend. Saturday night, pit gates open at 4:00, grandstands at 5:00 and cars hit the track at 6:30. Saturday’s grandstand passes will be $15 for adults, $5 for kids 11-15 and free for children 10 & under. Pit passes are available for $25.
